Whitehaven Winterfest | Community Spirit

The Whitehaven community is getting into the holiday season with a spirit of giving. Aside from putting on one of the biggest Christmas parades in Memphis, the community is collecting canned goods for the Mid-South Food Bank.

They're asking everyone who attends this year's lighting ceremony at Elvis Presley's Graceland to bring a canned good.

The collected food will help feed needy families across the Mid-South. American Idol star Skylar Laine will flip the switch to illuminate the Graceland displays and also perform a few songs.

As part of Whitehaven Winterfest, the Whitehaven Christmas Parade is Saturday, November 17. It rolls at 10:00 a.m, beginning at Southland Mall, turning north on Elvis Presley, and ending at Graceland.
