Growth continues at Hickory Ridge Mall

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - When a giant parade kicked off Hickory Ridge Mall's re-opening in April, mall officials promised new stores and development.

One of the first things shoppers notice currently at the mall is the construction for the new Incredible Pizza Company.

"We're targeting, as we said, an early fourth quarter opening," manager Jimmy Hailey said.

Just down the hall, a new Mexican restaurant, Rigo's Tacos, has just opened up. Other businesses and restaurants are quickly giving mall patrons places to eat and shop.

"I enjoy it," shopper Jean Hartz said. "It's safe, and I want everybody to know that its safe. There is no problem here."
